Whilst everyone has different opinions regarding the pandemic, I have to take the risk seriously. Once open, I will be running the rooms and breakfasts by myself, Rhys (my employee) will be back and
working around the grounds and on general maintenance. This separation of roles ensures we can both return to work safely.
So over the forthcoming months I will be running my B&B and will be welcoming people from a wide variety places. This means accommodation venues are a higher risk area.
The very low Covid infection rates of Pembrokeshire are not reflective of this risk, and I need all my visitors to ensure they follow the 2m social distancing guidelines and are mindful of myself and
my other customers during their stay.
Failure to follow the Covid guidance could result in closure of the B&B effecting future my customers, my well-being and my family. This eventuality is something I need to avoid at all
- No more shared spaces inside the house.
As it stands under the current guidance our dining room is off limits. So are our two loft conversion rooms in the house, as these are accessed through a shared hallway and staircase.
Our 5 ground floor rooms open directly out onto our courtyard and each room has its own exclusive access. We have added dining tables into the guest
rooms (See pictures
below) and for now, a lighter breakfast will be served directly to your room. These changes ensure each accommodation unit is
totally self contained and that we can provide B&B as safely as possible.

- Cleaning, Checking-in and
Daily room service will no longer be available. However if guests need any amineties replacing or topping up we can obviously make arrangements to facilitate
We have added a self-service area where guests can get additional amineties for the room throughout their stay.
With regards our bedroom cleaning between customers, all surfaces throughout the guest rooms will be cleaned with a hospital grade disinfectant.
Our bathrooms are already cleaned with a bleach based cleaner.
Our laundry will be cleaned at temperatures hotter than normal and on longer cycles.
We would ask that on departure day guests vacate the room by 10am at the latest. Arrivals to try and arrive between 3-6pm.
We have the ability to take payment remotely.
- Bookings and Reservations.
We are offering an indefinite extension to all deposits already paid on existing reservations (Prior to the Covid pandemic) Please phone or e-mail us regarding this.
New reservations made via e-mail or telephone can arranged without a deposit however we will still require a debit/credit card to confirm the reservation. This
keeps things more flexible for now. These reservations will only be charged to the value of 1 nights stay in the event of a no-show.
We will also need a contact mobile number so we can get in-touch with you throughout your stay.
- Coronavirus and the St Davids Community.
St Davids has been largely unaffected by coronavirus infections. Whilst some of us are delighted to see visitors return, please be mindful that there are parts of the community who are uneasy about
the idea of welcoming tourists back to our little part of Pembrokeshire.
When visiting please do your best to maintain 2m distances from people and ensure you wash your hands regularly. Handwash has been, and continues to be available in all our guest rooms.
Finally, we would ask all guests who have booked, that should
they show any symptoms of COVID-19, or if they have been exposed to COVID-19 in the days before their reservation that they DO NOT travel. We are more than happy
to reschedule the reservation accordingly.
